It’s hard to believe that a little more than a decade ago, compact excavators were basically unknown in the United States. Long popular in Europe and Asia because their compact size allowed them to work in small areas of large, congested cities, the first Japanese compact excavators that began appearing on American job sites brought curiosity, even amusement, and their potential was not at first recognized.
Case Construction Equipment introduced Jan. 18 three new F Series wheel loader models. The new machines provide faster acceleration, quicker cycle times and higher travel speeds while delivering as much as 17% greater fuel efficiency.
Jim McCullough, CEO and president of CNH Construction, which offers Case, New Holland and Kobelco branded construction equipment, testified on Sept. 29 before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to report on progress thus far of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Case Construction Equipment announced the production startup of a new line of military skid steers and compact track loaders. Case has begun manufacturing and shipping the first of several thousand model M400W skid steers and model M400T compact track loaders.
