For the 15th year, the Center for Innovative Grouting Materials and Technology (CIGMAT) and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering hosted a one-day conference on "Construction, Geotechnical, Hurricane and Flooding Issues in Houston & Other Major Cities" at the University of Houston on April 23. More than 280 attendees consisting of owners, consulting engineers, material suppliers, contractors and academia attended and participated from across the U.S.

APCA Holds 39th Annual Convention

A record registration of 200 attendees marked the American Pipeline Contractors Association’s 39th Annual Convention at the El San Juan Hotel & Casino in San Juan, PR. This was on top of a record attendance at the 2009 meeting in Scottsdale.

PCCA Hosts Large Crowd For Disney Convention

A near-record crowd of 350 attended the Power & Communication Contractors Association annual convention at the Contemporary Resort, on the grounds of Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, March 20 – 23. That number included 20 new members and 40 first-time attendees.

ASCE International Pipelines & Trenchless Technology Conference Held in Shanghai

The American Society of Civil Engineers Pipeline Division recently made major strides into the global market on Oct. 19-21 when it sponsored the first International Conference of Pipeline and Trenchless Technology (ICPTT) at the Regal International East Asia Hotel in Shanghai, China.
