Gallagher Engineering
Gallagher designs horizontal directional drills from the HDD 200, HDD400 to the HDD600. The HDD200/400 provides a maximum thrust/pullback force of 200,000 pounds that can be upgraded to 400,000 pounds. The machine is powered by a 600-hp Cummins engine which drives two 250cc Sunstrand closed loop pumps - one for push/pull and one for rotary. At the rear of one pump there is a 56cc open circuit pump which drives all of the auxiliary items. On the rotary drive, 45,000 foot-pounds of torque is reached at 33 rpm. User-friendly drills give the operator the ability to pre-set pressures in all the necessary areas to help prevent costly mistakes through events such as break offs. +61-7-5537 2811, www.directionaldrilling.com.au
