Richard Neil Horton of League City, TX, passed away on Aug. 18, at the age of 85. Horton served as vice president of both Ingersoll Rand and Sullair Corp. prior to founding 247 Equipment Co. Inc. in the early 1980s.

Ray Lynn Barnes, 50, died Aug. 1 in Tahlequah, OK. A former pipeliner, Barnes was the son of Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Company’s long-time superintendent Thelbert Barnes and his wife Wanda, who survive him.

Darold Wendell Falldorf, 79, of Bemidji, MN, died, July 15 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Barbara Oliver White, born Aug. 21, 1938, passed away July 12 in Dallas, TX. She was married to the late James Thomas White, who at the time of his death on Jan. 22, 2012, was past president of the Pipe Line Contractors Association (PLCA) and served as president of Dallas-based Price Gregory International Inc.

Attendees and their guests gathered to hear Daniel Magill, president for Avanti International, speak at the June 5 Gulf Coast Chapter UCTA (Underground Construction Technology Association) general luncheon meeting held at the Houston Engineering and Scientific Society Building.

The Historical Construction Equipment Association (HCEA), a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the construction, is hosting its 28th Annual International Convention and Old Equipment Exposition, to be held August 16-18 at the International Union of Operating Engineers’ Local 150 Apprenticeship and Skill Improvement Program Center, Wilmington, IL.

Charles H. Joyce, 84, of Andover, NY, died June 9 after an extended illness.

Donald Dean “Dandy Don” French, 85, passed away on April 6. He was born on Feb. 3, 1928 to Cecil and Jeanette French in Drumright, OK.
