In Memoriam: Daniel Adam Schultz

Daniel Adam Schultz, 38, passed away at home in Rosemont, PA, on June 22 after a 23 month battle with sarcoma.

In 1996, Schultz graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He received his Master’s Degree in Engineering Management in 2003 from Drexel University.

Upon completion of his undergraduate degree from Villanova, Schultz worked as a design engineer at Riemer Mugge and Associates in Columbia, MD. In March 1998 he joined ASTM International, a globally recognized leader in the development and delivery of international voluntary consensus standards. In the 13 years he was with ASTM, Schultz advanced from staff manager to director of standards development. He was able to bring together people with diverse professional interests and send them in a unified direction of progress which helped different industries improve their internal operations and systems by implementing and using standards.

Daniel is survived by his wife Susan; four children Madelyn, Avery, Sadie and Quinn; his parents Dr. Verna Hanes, Dr. & Mrs. Warren and Donna Schultz; sisters Kathleen Leebel and Kristin Schultz and their families.
