Bobcat
Soil preparation is now easier for owners of compact tractors or the Toolcat 5610 utility work machine with the release of the new soil conditioner and disc harrow Category 1 three-point hitch implements. Bobcat offers two three-point soil conditioners in working widths of 60 and 72 inches. The drum of the soil conditioner is powered by the rear PTO on the compact tractor or Toolcat 5610. A new 32-page catalog from Spectronics details a wide variety of black light (UV-A) and blue light inspection lamps that detect and identify surface and subsurface flaws. These products are used for nondestructive testing practices such as visual inspection, liquid penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. The catalog contains information on UV-A inspection lamps and super-high intensity UV HID lamps. The new OPTIMAX 450 and TRITAN 450 blue light sources are ideal for quick pre-inspection or screening of fluorescent particles in operating conditions with ambient light. The OPTIMAX 450 is a lightweight, cordless, rechargeable flashlight with a thin-film dichroic filter lens that improves contrast and fluorescent response. The TRITAN 450 lamp provides wide area coverage and allows easy access into tight areas. The AccuMAX digital radiometers measure UV-A intensity and visible light output. 800.274.8888, www.spectroline.com

The type 567 Butterfly Valve now includes sizes 14 to 16 inches in diameter. The new size range features a unique double eccentric off-center design and excellent chemical compatibility. Suitable applications include landfills where large size valves are required for drainage of underground leachate. Other uses include industrial water treatment, potable water treatment, and waste water systems in such industries as chemical, chemical distribution, electroplating and power plants. The 567 Valve’s unique double eccentric design features an off-center shaft that allows the disc to completely disengage from the disc seal, even when partially open. The new large size valve features industry-standard ISO flange mount for easy electric or pneumatic actuation with most actuators. Other features include bi-directional capability, pressure rating of 90 psi at 70 degree F, and hand wheel. The valve is available with either EPDM or FPM seals, 304 or 316 Stainless Steel stem, and a polypropylene body. 800.854.4090, www.gfpiping.com

Volvo is now fitting as standard its remote monitoring (telematics) system on all larger machines along with a no charge 36 month CareTrack service subscription. The CareTrack telematics system is used to manage a machine’s productivity and maximize its availability for work. Using GPRS (mobile network) or satellite technology to send information, data is available securely and instantaneously to any remote online connection. Through fault reporting and activity warnings and by facilitating remote diagnosis, the goal is that machine problems will be identified sooner and resolved faster. Machine operation and deployment can be optimized via functions that monitor fuel consumption, location, hours of operation, speed and approaching service intervals. 828.650.2043, www.volvoce.com
