The Texas Water Development Board approves financial aid

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has approved financial assistance loans totaling $29,382,800 as follows:

• $7,808,511 to the city of McAllen (Hidalgo County) consisting of a loan in the amount of $6,655,000 and $1,153,511 in loan forgiveness from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to finance wastewater system improvements.
• $1,269,750 to the city of Comanche (Comanche County) consisting of a loan in the amount of $705,000 and $564,750 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to finance water system improvements.
• $1,087,000 to the city of Menard (Menard County) consisting of a loan in the amount of $550,000 and $537,000 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to finance water system improvements.
• $3,400,778 to the city of Paris (Lamar County) consisting of a loan in the amount of $2,900,000 and $500,778 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to finance water system improvements.
• $1,612,761 to the city of Ranger (Eastland County) consisting of a loan in the amount of $895,000 and $717,761 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to finance water system improvements.
• $204,000 to the city of Alpine (Brewster County) consisting of a grant in the amount of $102,000 and $102,000 in a loan from the Economically Distressed Areas Program to finance wastewater system improvements.
• $12 million to the city of Brownwood (Brown County) from the Texas Water Development Fund to finance wastewater system improvements.
