What to See and Do
Travel and Leisure named San Antonio one of America’s favorite cities. San Antonio has some of the state’s most visited attractions and festivals: The Alamo; The River Walk featuring cobbled walkways, bridges, cafés, shops, restaurants and bars along the river’s edge; SeaWorld® San Antonio; Six Flags® Fiesta Texas®; San Antonio Zoo; and Fiesta San Antonio (an annual festival with origins dating back to the late 19th century).
• Restaurants: Cultural cuisines collide in this great city. Choose from American, Asian, BBQ, French, Greek, Indian, Italian, Seafood, Tex Mex and everything in between. Dine on the River Walk or find a local eatery as you stroll the city.
• Golf: More than 40 public and private golf courses abound in this city. Tapatio Springs Golf Resort has ranked as a Texas top ten spot for over a decade. Toughest golf shot: Pecan Valley Golf Course, No. 18, Par 4, 18 yards.
• Shopping: San Antonio boasts miles of outlets, malls, galleries and Mexican markets — El Mercado shopping district is the largest Mexican market outside Mexico. The nearby San Marcos Outlet Mall was ranked third best shopping mall in the world by ABC’s "The View."
