WESTT No-Dig Goes to Ontario, CA

By Traci Read, Managing Editor | August 2012, Vol. 67 No. 8
A previous WESTT conference.

Lueke said attendees would find the comments from the keynote speaker, Keith Hanks, assistant division engineer for the Public Works Bureau of Engineering for the city of Los Angeles, of particular interest. “Keith will be addressing the topic, One Million Feet of Trenchless in Los Angeles, that will provide an overview of trenchless work that has been ongoing or is being planned in this area,” he added.

According to Lueke, conference organizers are expecting another good turnout for this year’s event. “We recognize that the tougher economy plays a significant role in attendance, so we’ve adjusted our regional conference rates to better accommodate them by reducing the daily rates and introducing a special government employee rate for both the conference and the short course,” he said.

He added that attendees will benefit from not only the nine peer reviewed presentations and 20 sponsored exhibits, but conference goers will be able to meet with industry experts in a fun, relaxed atmosphere during several networking opportunities.

“There are two scheduled session breaks and lunch in the exhibit area,” said Lueke. “An evening cocktail reception is also planned for the first day of the conference for attendees to mingle with their peers, friends, industry professionals and exhibitors alike.”
