Golden Beavers Awards Presented

This year’s Golden Beavers Awards were presented at the 55th Annual Beavers Awards Dinner on Jan. 22, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, CA. More than 2,000 members of the construction industry attended the black-tie event where Newt Gingrich was a keynote speaker.

Individuals were recognized with a Golden Beaver Award for their achievements and contributions to the heavy construction industry in the categories of Management, Supervision, Engineering and Service & Supply.

The Beavers is a social, honorary organization of construction companies and individuals who have engaged in heavy engineering construction. The purpose of the Beavers is to promote goodwill, friendliness and consideration within the heavy engineering construction industry. The Beavers recognize men and women who have demonstrated particular skill, responsibility and integrity. In addition, the organization encourages and supports entry of promising young individuals into heavy engineering construction.

Al Fernandez, regional vice president and branch manager, Volvo Construction Equipment Services, was presented the Service and Supply award.
