Downhole Directional Drilling Tools: Railhead DirectBore

The new DirectBore I – 13” rock bit is designed with the big drills in mind.

This rock bit boasts more than 16 pounds of carbide to reduce wear. Weighing in at over 200 pounds, the DirectBore I – 13” is made for drills from 140,000 pounds to over 1,100,000 pounds. The water ports feature a replaceable carbide insert which allows for increased flow or more pressure at the port. The contractor can simply change the insert according to the job requirements. The DirectBore I is available with a 4 ½-inch API Reg pin or a 6 5/8-inch API pin making it the best option for the tough condition bores. 817.847.6647, www.railhead.com
