Michels Wins Keystone Pipeline Safety Award

One of the very first “Keystone Pipeline Vice President’s Awards” was presented to Pat Michels, president of Michels Corporation, for his company’s safety leadership and performance on the Keystone Pipeline Project.

“This award reaffirms how serious Michels Corporation considers safety on the jobsite. I am proud of the men and women in the field. They have done a great job,” says Michels.

In December 2008, leaders from Michels’ Safety and Pipeline teams were honored guests at an awards dinner, hosted by TransCanada and ConocoPhillips (partners in the Keystone Pipeline) in Houston, TX.

The award was established as part of TransCanada’s corporate recognition program for contractor safety commitment and performance.
