New Acquisitions Position CONTECH For Future Growth

In a recent move, CONTECH Construction Products Inc. announced that it had acquired certain assets of the Plateau Pipe Company headquartered in Cookeville, TN, and the Thompson Culvert Company headquartered in Missouri with facilities in St. Louis, Sikeston and Springfield, MO.

The Plateau Pipe Company is a manufacturer of corrugated metal pipe with customers in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina. CONTECH will continue to utilize its Cookeville facility as a distribution center.

“The Plateau Pipe acquisition will enable CONTECH to expand our Southeastern distribution points and to better serve the region with the most comprehensive selection of drainage and site solution products available,” said Ron Keating, president and CEO of CONTECH. “We are committed to offering the best customer experience as we optimize our service locations and our distribution capabilities.”

Ralph Mills, president of Plateau Pipe, will continue to work with CONTECH on integrating the business and in ensuring a smooth transition for all of Plateau’s customers.

With the acquisition of the Thompson Culvert Company, CONTECH has realized a key investment to grow its drainage business. Thompson Culvert has serviced Missouri, Illinois and a number of other Midwestern states with the manufacturing of corrugated steel pipe and the distribution of related construction products since 1964. CONTECH will continue to operate out of each of the Thompson facilities.

“The acquisition of Thompson Culvert represents a great opportunity to better serve CONTECH’s Great Lakes and South Central Regions with the most comprehensive selection of products and solutions available,” said Andrew Sabados, CONTECH’s regional vice president for the South Central Region. 800.338.1122, www.contech-cpi.com
