Updated FTTH Brand Reflects Next-Generation Innovation, Partnership, Energy
Keeping up with the ever-evolving fiber industry, its largest and only trade association has made a big change.
Fiber to the Home Council Americas (FTTH) is now the Fiber Broadband Association. While still committed to fiber to the home, the new name reflects the expanded demand for the speed and resilience of fiber optic technology.
“The Fiber Broadband Association represents members that are building the world’s highest-performing fiber optic broadband networks for consumers and businesses, and the critical role fiber plays supporting new and emerging technologies like 5G wireless networks,” said Heather Burnett Gold, president and CEO, Fiber Broadband Association.
It’s more than a name change. It’s a total rebranding to “reflect the dynamism of our industry and members,” Gold added. “Our mission has expanded beyond the home, and our new look now reflects the extension of fiber to every aspect of our connected future.”
Central to the brand is a message of innovation, partnership and energy. The logo visualizes that fiber is the crowning technology – with the five points and colors of the “crown” symbolizing the association’s promise and multi-stakeholder (consumers, providers, policymakers, advocates and media) commitment to the industry. The core message is also conveyed through the tag line, “Accelerating the Connected Future.”
Consistent with the rebranding, the association launched an updated website, social properties and other elements at fiberbroadband.org, and renamed its annual conference (to be hosted this year June 12-14 in Orlando, FL) Fiber Connect.
Dedicated to the pursuit of all fiber optic network infrastructure, Fiber Broadband Association’s mission is to help providers make informed decisions about how, where and why to build better broadband networks with fiber optics. It counts on its members to lead the organization forward, collaborate with industry allies and propel fiber optic deployment forward.
