Perma-Liner Expands Brand Awareness with Japanese Patent

Perma-Liner Industries LLC, a North American manufacturer and supplier of trenchless pipeline rehabilitation equipment and materials, earned a Japanese patent. Entitled “Apparatus and Method for Repairing Pipes,” JP 6302418 B2 applies to the equipment and process – involving an air-inversion unit connected to an air compressor – that accelerate the curing of resin in a liner for buried pipe.

“We are pleased to strengthen our intellectual property protection with the addition of this patent in Japan covering this application of our core technology,” said Jerry D’Hulster, president of Perma-Liner. “We have consistently sought to protect, expand and improve uses of our CIPP (Cured-In-Place-Pipe) technologies in the U.S. and globally. We now have 28 patents in this space, including our Scrim-Enforced patents.”

This latest patent enables Perma-Liner to increase brand awareness of its state-of-the-art technology and continue to attract potential customers in Japan and Southeast Asia.
